The Work
Nature has captivated me since the beginning. No matter how many times you look at a mountain, a stream, a field, a lake, or an ocean, there is something new and special about to unfold. So many times, there are moments that take my breath away in wonder, and some of those moments I have tried to capture in my art.
The mediums of choice for my work are either pastels or colored pencils. I love the soft textures of pastels. Pastels give a painting depth and soul. It is very difficult to capture the true awe of the moment that nature has put before you. Photos and art always fall a little short. I think pastels create a mood that gives a feel for the moment. Colored pencils require a very slow and layered process. This medium has a much more detailed impact and gives me more ability to capture images in a more precise fashion.
I sell Giclées* of my work in a variety of sizes on request. I limit each piece to 20 Giclées. Unframed originals are also available on some of the pieces.
